Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
